The Lord blesses us in so many ways! I just wanted to share really quickly an experience I recently had. Yesterday the 18th, I had the worst headache I've honestly ever had. The thing is, I rarely get headaches, I think it's maybe the fourth real headache I've ever had. Anyway, I couldn't walk straight, I couldn't sing, It was hard to just really perform anything. Well I was searching for ailments in herbs, water, pills, you know all the usual stuff that can help to null the pain. I felt prompted to pray, and so that's exactly what I did. After my prayer I didn't feel to much relief but I just felt inspired to listen, and the next thought that came into my mind was a blessing. I was thinking of every and anyone who could do but I had limited choice cuz everyone I could think of had families to support, hence they were working... Well I ended up calling one of the boys in my next class, Men's Chorus. Anyway just before class I got my blessing. What was amazing to me that any worthy Priesthood Bearer can act for God, in the name of the Lord and truly bless the lives of others, this was just another witness of how real our saviors love really is for us.
What I wanted to share was the fact that today I feel amazing! yes I know there are some that think "duh..." but it really was the blessing that I needed. It's amazing, our Heavenly Father really does want whats best for us. In my blessing I received inspiration spoken through the Priesthood holder giving me the blessing but also through the spirit. He shared with me blessings only our Heavenly Father could know I needed.
I love my Savior and I love my Heavenly Father, and for the blessings which they each share with me daily. I'm thankful for this gospel and the wonderful news that it really is that I will soon be able to share with so many people who long for it, and even now, those near me. I'm so thankful for the tender mercies of the Lord!
Well y'all!!! The church is true! :)
Have a beautiful day!!! - Mal

We are so blessed to have the Priesthood. It's incredible to think about how few people in the history of the world who have had that authority. Way to ask for a blessing. I know sometimes I don't ask because I don't think the problem is big enough, but I'm pretty sure the Lord ALWAYS wants us to have those kinds of experiences. And I hope you didn't have the headache when you were helping me babysit... and giving out the back massages!
Iknow! If you honestly think about it, God has always discriminated about who is worthy and able to bear his priesthood. I know when hear "discriminated," the same thing comes to my mind as well, blacks and the priesthood. I think that people miss the blessings though, those blacks without even being able to hold the priesthood, even if they wanted to, had no chance of ever becoming sons of perdition, meaning that if they went throughout their whole life there names would automatically be submitted for their temple work, and a straight shot to the highest degree of glory! But even then some of the most influential characters in the Book of Mormon and the Bible weren't even able to hold the priesthood, They had revelation, but they couldn't act in his name. I guess just historically, there is given fact that our generation specifically preserved for the Millenium is so blessed to have what we do, young men ages of 12 if worthy have the blessing of administering of angels, that's pretty cool. I didn't know if you knew this but I am a "missionary junkie," ha ha I absolutely love missionary work, ha ha :)
The church is true! :)
